Melissa

Bio: Melissa Cugini has been a Registered Yoga Instructor since 2008. She was drawn to yoga in 2004 for relaxation and anxiety relief as she adapted to living in a new state. She quickly appreciated the positive impact yoga provided to her mind and body, and realized she wished to share the benefits of yoga with others. Upon completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Business, she began training to become a yoga instructor. She has over 3500 hours of experience instructing yoga and meditation practices to individuals of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings and believes that yoga has something to offer to everyone! In 2021 Melissa began the process of being a Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, as she hopes to further assist her clients along their journey to optimal well-being. Her yoga classes are unique blend of meditation, breath-work, mindful movement and yoga poses, and always include modifications so that participants can practice yoga to the level of ease or intensity they wish! Melissa resides in Richfield, OH with her husband and their dog and she is happiest when she is active and outdoors, enjoying hiking, golfing or horseback riding. When being outside isn’t an option, a good book or a puzzle and a cup of tea will do just fine!

Why I Love Teaching Yoga: I believe that yoga, meditation and breath practices have something to offer everyone and can provide immediate benefits to one's mental, physical and emotional well-being. I feel fortunate to be able to share these practices with people, providing them with tools to help them reach their optimal state of wellness.

My Personal Heroes Are: Both of my grandmothers because they were single moms, decades before that was a "common" term. They had fulfilling careers, lovely homes and they inspired and supported my sisters and I in being the best individuals we could be.
